Hyundai Elantra Pioneer Double Din Install

The owner of this Hyundai Elantra brought their car into the dealership as the factory radio stopped working. It wouldn't turn on at all and the car was just past the warranty period. This meant that the customer could have to fork out close to $1000 for another factory unit installed by the dealership. In cases like this, we can often offer more functionality at a lower cost with an aftermarket stereo compared to getting a vehicle-specific unit from the manufacturer.

Hyundai Elantra Double Din

For this vehicle, we went with the Pioneer MVH-200EX which is a double din receiver with a 6.2" display. These units from Pioneer are a great bang for the buck as they offer a nice WVGA display and significantly improved audio compared to most factory systems. The touchscreen is excellent for use with a backup camera and the 13 band EQ makes for much better tuning than the old setup which only had treble and bass adjustments.

Adding a reverse camera to a AV deck like this is straightforward and is a great way to take advantage of the clear display. We also used the Maestro SW to retain the factory steering wheel controls for volume, skipping tracks, and more! At the end of the day, this setup costs a lot less than the dealer option and gave our customer more features and better sound. A win-win in our books!
